RASC News Agency: While two years have passed since the ban on girls’ education above the sixth grade, the Ministry of Education of the Taliban group has announced that the new academic year will begin.
In a statement published by the ministry today, Wednesday, September 6, the ministry said that the courses in the hot regions of the country will start from (Wednesday, September 6).
Mawlawi Habibullah Agha, Acting Minister of Education of the Taliban group, has said at the beginning of the new academic year in the hot areas of the country that: “The Ministry of Education once again assures the students that it will not spare any kind of effort in the balanced and prosperous development of the educational system.”
In the announcement published by this ministry, no explanation was given about the beginning of classes above the sixth grade for girls.
It should be noted that the academic year in the cold regions of the country starts every year in the month of April.
Blocking the gates of educational institutions on girls by the Taliban group has faced national and international reactions and many times countries have asked the Taliban group to open the gates of educational institutions, but this is in addition to the fact that the countries did not accept this request, the restrictions on women’s social life increased
Meanwhile, in response to this action of the Taliban group, many women’s rights activists asked the world to recognize the action of the Taliban group against Afghanistani women as gender apartheid.
It is said that Afghanistan is the only country in the world where girls are deprived of education.
