RASC News Agency: The United Nations Security Council announced in a report that the 56 humanitarian aid program for the needy in Afghanistan was stopped during July.
In the report of this institution, which was published a while ago, it is stated that these aids have been stopped due to the intervention of the Taliban group in the distribution process.
In its report, the United Nations Security Council mentioned the misbehavior of Taliban officials with the employees of humanitarian organizations and said that this behavior of the Taliban has challenged the process of dealing with the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
In this report, citing the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), it is stated that imposing restrictions on female aid workers has also had a negative impact on the process of assisting to women and children.
This is despite the fact that since restrictions were imposed on women’s work in national and international institutions, the number of people in need of humanitarian aid has increased more than what was previously reported.
However, the World Food Program, the Organization for the Coordination of Humanitarian Aid (OCHA) and other organizations that help the needy in Afghanistan have repeatedly warned of budget cuts and lack of timely care for the needy in Afghanistan.
Not long ago, OCHA said in a report that if the necessary funds to take care of the needy in Afghanistan are not available to them, some families in different parts of the country are facing the risk of death.
It should be noted that despite the increase in the number of people in need of humanitarian aid in the country, reports of embezzlement and involvement of members of the Taliban group in humanitarian aid have also been published.
