RASC News Agency: According to local sources from Laghman province, the Taliban group opened fire on the cars of a wedding party in Laghman province for playing music.
A local source told the media that this incident happened yesterday (Sunday, August 27) after a convoy of wedding cars played music.
According to a source, a young man named Samiullah, who was a resident of Chapa Darya area of Qarghai district of Laghman, died in this shooting by the Taliban group.
The source added that Samiullah was a first-year student at Nangarhar University’s Faculty of Agriculture. The local officials of the Taliban group in Laghman province have not yet said anything about this issue.
This is despite the fact that according to the reports of local sources, the forces of the Taliban group had shot at two wedding ceremonies two years ago because of the music being played.
At that time, this group had said about this attack that the armed people had misused the name of the Taliban group.
Meanwhile, the Taliban group has considered playing and listening to music as haram and said that music should not be played even in happy ceremonies.
However, it should be noted that in the first days of their control over the country, the Taliban group arrested and shot a local singer and comedian named Nazar Mohammad Khasha. The shooting of this comedian caused widespread reactions against the Taliban group.
Meanwhile, after the conquest of Balkhab, Taliban fighters played music in Shia mosques and in Panjshir, they performed Atan – a traditional dance of Pashtuns – at the tomb of Ahmad Shah Masoud.
