RASC News Agency: The traffic department of Faryab province under the management of the Taliban group has announced the occurrence of a traffic accident on the road between Almar district and Maimana district, the capital of this province, and said that a man and a child died in this accident.
Ahmad Fahim Kohi, the accident manager of Faryab province traffic department, says that this accident happened around 9:00 am on Saturday, August 19 on highway number 2 between Almar district and Maimana district at the location of “Shah Qasmi Bridge”.
According to Kohi, in this incident, a motorcycle convoy collided with a rickshaw convoy, as a result of which a man and a child died and a man and a woman were injured.
The condition of the injured in this incident is reported to be serious and it is said that they have been transferred to Maimana Provincial Hospital for medical care.
The cause of this traffic accident is high speed and carelessness of drivers.
Meanwhile, the security officials of the Taliban group in Bamyan province have confirmed that as a result of three traffic incidents in this province, one person died and five others were injured.
According to them, before on Thursday (August 17), a Corolla car veered off the road in the “Now Daraz Qarghanato” area of the center of Bamyan province, and as a result, two people were injured.
In addition, three people were injured in an accident between a Corolla car and a Suzuki car in the Shahidan’ area of the center of Bamyan province on Thursday.
The press office of the Bamyan provincial security command also announced the third incident and said that on Thursday, a Corolla type car ran over a six-year-old child in Kalu village of Shiber district, who died after being transferred to a private hospital.
Traffic accidents in Afghanistan kill hundreds of people every year and leave hundreds injured and disabled. Non-standard roads, carelessness of drivers and non-observance of driving principles are considered to be prominent reasons for traffic accidents in the country.
