RASC: Rina Amiri, the US special representative for women and human rights in Afghanistan, says that she met with the representatives of some Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia, and there was an agreement in these meetings that the “severe” suppression of Afghanistani women and girls led to the creation of “It becomes a dangerous precedent for Islamic countries.

In a series of tweets, she announced her visit to the United Arab Emirates and her talks with the representatives of Albania, Bangladesh, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

Amiri said that these talks were “hopeful” and the representatives of the countries stated that women’s rights are protected in Islam and play an essential role in economic progress and stability.

“There was broad agreement that the severe repression of Afghanistani women and girls sets a dangerous precedent, especially for Muslim-majority countries,” she wrote.

Amiri emphatically stated that we should not allow the policies of suppressing the Taliban group to become normal and asked the countries of the world to stand by Afghanistani women and girls and not leave them alone.

Rina Amiri and Tom West, the US special representative for Afghanistan, are scheduled to meet with representatives of the Taliban this week in Doha, the capital of Qatar, and discuss women, security and narcotics.

In Afghanistan, under the control of the Taliban group, women and girls are deprived of education, training, work and free travel.

Amiri recently added that she has reached an agreement with the representatives of the countries to continue cooperation to support the people of Afghanistan through diplomatic efforts and steadfast support.
