RASC: A number of businessmen are extremely dissatisfied with the two-faced and mono-ethnic policies of the Taliban group on the border of Islam Qala, Herat and other commercial ports of the country.
A businessman, who did not want to be identified, told RASC: “The Taliban group has created many problems for non-Pashtun businessmen at the commercial borders of the country.”
He also added: “The National Soft and Standard Administration of the Taliban group stops the commercial goods that we import from abroad for dozens of days under various pretexts, including laboratory tests and in order to stabilize the quality, but the Pashtun businessmen and those close to the Taliban group exchange their goods at the country’s customs without any conditions.”
At the same time, another businessman says: “The oil we import is returned under the pretext that it is of poor quality, but the same oil is imported again by Pashtun traders and is allowed to pass through the customs without knowing its quality.”
On the other hand, the Taliban group told the investors and businessmen who have settled outside of Afghanistan that the current conditions and the prevailing security in Afghanistan require them to invest inside Afghanistan and continue their business in Afghanistan.
However, it should be mentioned that with the fall of the republic, hundreds of businessmen transferred their capital and assets from Afghanistan to foreign countries and refused to continue doing business in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, since August 2021, when the Taliban took over Afghanistan again, no country in the world has recognized them and the economic system of Afghanistan has been disrupted.
