RASC: Sources in Kandahar province say that the Taliban group attacked women’s hair salons in this province and arrested dozens of female hair stylists.

A source, who did not want to be named in the news, told RASC: “Over the past few days, agents of the so-called Taliban group have attacked dozens of hairdressing salons in Kandahar and imprisoned female beauticians.”

The source also adds that in addition to imprisoning female hairdressers, their workplaces have also been blocked and the tools and equipment of hairdressing salons have been destroyed by the Taliban group.

Maryam (pseudonym), who has been working as a beautician for several years and spends her income on her children’s education and daily expenses, told RASC: “We are not even allowed to work for women. Why does the world community not pay attention to us? Day by day, women’s rights are violated, if we do not make up women, then what should we do?

This is while Afghanistani women have previously faced similar restrictions from the Taliban group, which blocked women’s bathrooms. This group has also banned the presence of women in sports and recreational places.

It should be noted that, in addition, the right to work and education of women and girls in public and private institutions has been taken away by the Taliban group.

It should be noted that this group imposed restrictions and repressive policies against women since they dominated the country.
