RASC: Criticizing the continued existence of restrictions and cruel policies of the Taliban group on Afghanistani girls and women, the Scientific, Cultural and Educational Organization of the United Nations (UNESCO) says that the dreams and hopes of girls and women in Afghanistan have been destroyed.
Today, Wednesday, July 5, UNESCO wrote in a tweet that the basic right of girls and women to education has been violated and this is unacceptable.
The Taliban first blocked school gates to girls above sixth grade, and then banned girls from attending universities late last year.
This year, UNESCO dedicated International Education Day to Afghanistani women and girls.
This group also imposed work restrictions on women and prohibited them from working in government and non-government offices.
It should be mentioned that the Taliban group’s restrictions on women continue and in the latest case, this group has banned the operation of women’s hair salons.
