RASC: The Office of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) published the document “Strategic Framework for Support to Afghanistan”.
In the document that UNAMA published today, Monday, July 3, it includes UNAMA’s priorities and approach to respond to basic human needs in Afghanistan until 2025.
In the introduction of the strategic document that it published, this organization said that prioritizing the needs and rights of vulnerable people, including women girls, children, youth, internally displaced persons, returnees, refugees, ethnic and religious minorities, providing basic services, creating economic opportunities, equality Gender, human rights and the rule of law will be among the most important options for this institution until 2025.
UNAMA has said that this strategic framework was created in close consultation with UN member states, partners and stakeholders, and three common priorities have been identified.
It has been said that these three priorities include work and activities to reduce food insecurity and reduce the death rate of mothers and children and the education sector in the next two years.
According to the 74-page document that explains UNAMA’s strategy until 2025, the UN mission in Kabul will prioritize the needs and rights of vulnerable and marginalized people in its support.
However, the UN representative office in Kabul emphasized that the strategic framework it published is a proposal to help the people of Afghanistan.
According to this organization, whether the United Nations can implement this framework is partly related to the actions of the Taliban group and the support of donors.
