RASC: According to local sources in Nimroz province, four Afghanistani youths who wanted to enter Iran were killed and another person was injured as a result of Iranian border guards shooting at the border of this country with Afghanistan.

Sources say that this incident happened on Saturday night, July 1, around Nimroz.

It should be noted that this is the second incident of shooting by Iranian border guards on Afghanistani immigrants during this month.

At the end of June, three people were killed and several others were injured as a result of Iranian border guards firing on Afghanistani immigrants.

This is despite the fact that according to the report of Iran’s state media, 11 Afghanistani citizens died last year as a result of border guards of this country shooting at Afghanistani immigrants at the border points of these two countries.

In addition to the indiscriminate expulsion of Afghanistani immigrants from Iran, but with the re-establishment of the Taliban group in Afghanistan, hundreds of young people leave the country illegally every day for various reasons, including poverty, unemployment, security challenges, and go to neighboring countries, especially Iran.

It should be noted that Afghanistani citizens enter neighboring countries, especially Iran, through dangerous smuggling routes, where they often die in accidents or are arrested by Iranian forces and returned to the country.

However, Iran is a country that sees many Afghanistani immigrants every year, and this number has increased since the Taliban took over.
