RASC: Taliban officials and public sources in Badakhshan and Paktika provinces say that a young man and a child drowned while swimming in the water in these two provinces.

The security command of the Taliban group in Badakhshan province said in a newsletter that a young man drowned and died while swimming in the water in Warduj district on Thursday, June 29.

According to the news, this young man’s name is Mushfaqullah and he was a resident of “Deh Now” village in Khash district. He had gone for a trip to the waterfall in Verduj district.

It is also stated in the newsletter that the body of this young man has not been found yet.


In another incident, a child drowned and died while swimming in Sarda dam, Paktika province. Another child injured in this incident and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Local sources told the media that this incident happened today and both children were residents of Yahyakhil district of Paktika province.

Meanwhile, this morning it was also reported from Zabul province that four children died while swimming in the water in Shahjoy district of this province and five other children were injured.
