Rina Amiri: Every Girl Has the Right to Access to High Quality Education

RASC: Rina Amiri, the US special representative for women and human rights in Afghanistan, announced on Friday at the Human Rights Council meeting that 2.5 million Afghanistani girls are deprived of education.

She emphasized the serious need for education in Afghanistan and said “every girl has the right to access to high quality education.”

The Taliban’s strict policies against women and girls have led to schools and universities being closed to girls.

Women’s activities in non-governmental organizations and the United Nations are also prohibited.

The international community, including Islamic countries, asked the Taliban to reconsider its policies that violate human rights.

Nevertheless, this group has ignored these demands and resisted them.
