RASC: United Nations Humanitarian Aid Coordinating Office (OCHA) announced the lack of a suitable and sufficient strategy regarding the recognition of the risk caused by natural disasters in Afghanistan and said that this has caused an increase in vulnerable people.

On Thursday, June 1, this international organization wrote in a tweet that there has not been enough investment in planning and raising awareness about the risks caused by natural disasters, especially floods in Afghanistan.

This department has not provided more details on this matter.

These statements are made while according to the information of the Ministry of Combating Natural Disasters of the Taliban group, 9 people have been killed and 120 others injured as a result of the recent floods in different parts of the country.

It should be mentioned that Afghanistan is one of the countries vulnerable to climate change, which has always witnessed the occurrence of natural events such as floods.
