RASC: The US State Department says that Washington will not recognize the Taliban until restrictions on women in Afghanistan are lifted.

Matthew Miller, the spokesperson of the US State Department, has asked the Taliban to end the restrictions on women; because according to him, it is very difficult to achieve recognition without removing the restrictions.

“We know that the Taliban group is seeking to be recognized by the international community, but in order to be recognized, they must first gain internal legitimacy and until they stop oppressing women and for the people of their country to continue, this is very difficult to achieve.” Matthew Miller said in a press conference:

However, the Taliban group, in response to the statements of the spokesperson of the US State Department, says that the rights of all citizens in the country are protected and this group wants official relations with all the countries of the world.

Bilal Karimi, deputy spokesperson of the Taliban group, told TOLOnews that the Taliban group wants good and formal relations with all countries of the world. However, not at the cost of violating Islamic values and national interests of the country.

Karimi said: “Taliban group wants good relations with all countries. Wants official and public relations with countries; But this is not because our values and the national interests of our country become victims of these official relations.”

After nearly two years have passed since the Taliban took control, No country recognized this group yet.
