RASC: Sekat Smit, the political deputy of the United Nations Mission in Afghanistan, or UNAMA, met with Mawlawi Zakir, the head of the political deputy office of the Taliban group, and told him to resolve the world’s concerns in order to attract more aid.

Mr. Smit said that for attracting more aid to Afghanistan, it is necessary for the Taliban to be more flexible and cooperate in some projects in order to solve the concerns of donor countries.
He added that UNAMA will present reports on the fight against narcotics and a number of other issues at the UN Security Council meeting and the meeting held in Brussel about Afghanistan.
Mawlawi Zakir emphasized the necessity of continuing humanitarian aid and said that the Taliban group is committed to positive and constructive interaction with the world.
In addition, he said that the wars of the past four decades have affected Afghans in all fields, and the international community needs to continue its assistance in humanitarian fields, climate change control, and basic projects.
With the dominance of the Taliban group in Afghanistan for nearly two years, this group has repeatedly committed human rights violations in this country, they have not yet met the demands of the international community, and no country recognizes this group.
