RASC: The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) says that the number of families facing water shortages in Afghanistan has increased from 48% in 2021 to 60% in 2022.

This organization has written in a tweet today, Sunday, May 14, that climate change will reduce access to water throughout Afghanistan.

OCHA said that in 2023, about 479.4 million dollars needed to address the water and sewage crisis in Afghanistan.

Afghanistan is facing a severe drought in recent years.

Flooding rains caused by climate change also destroy the country’s water resources.
