The British Foreign Ministry published a statement on Saturday morning, April 29, saying that: “The British ambassador announced at the UN Security Council meeting that the imposition of anti-feminist restrictions by the Taliban led to the “systematic” removal of Khorasani/Afghanistanian women and girls from Society has become.
The British ambassador to the United Nations has also said: “Prohibiting Khorasani/Afghanistanian women from working in the offices of this organization is the latest example of the Taliban’s complete disregard for women’s fundamental rights.”
She stated: “This ban is a direct violation of the basic principles of the UN Charter. “In a situation where 28 million people in Khorasan/Afghanistan need help, it will severely hinder the delivery of life-saving aid to women and girls.”
She called for the “immediate” cancellation of Taliban policies that “restrict the basic rights and freedoms of women”.
She has also added that the UK has contributed $662 million from April 2021 to now in order to reach the “humanitarian crisis” in Khorasan/Afghanistan.
It should be noted that the United Nations Security Council has issued a resolution condemning the restrictions of the Taliban group on the right to work and education of Afghan women and girls and has asked this group to cancel the imposed bans.
The UN Security Council approved this resolution on Thursday, April 27, with a majority vote; It should be mentioned that more than 90 countries of the world have declared their support for this resolution.
