RASC News Agency: Local sources in Ghazni province report that, within the past week, three bodies, each belonging to victims who were brutally murdered, have been discovered. Sources at the Ghazni Provincial Hospital confirmed on Tuesday, February 25, that the body of a young man was found in Mujahideen Township, and two additional bodies were found in the Rozah area of the province’s center, subsequently transferred to the hospital. According to the sources, all of the victims had been beaten and stabbed to death. However, the motives behind these killings and the identities of the perpetrators remain unknown.
The Taliban have yet to release an official statement concerning these incidents. In recent years, Ghazni has seen an alarming rise in violent crimes and mysterious murders. Despite the Taliban’s assertions of having established security, such events persist, leaving residents in other provinces, particularly those outside Pashtun-majority areas, increasingly fearful of the worsening insecurity. It is important to note that the Taliban often accuse anyone they wish to eliminate, arrest them, and ultimately execute them, after which the body is typically handed over to hospitals for the family to claim.
Numerous instances have been reported in which Taliban members have publicly executed innocent individuals in front of crowds. In the absence of a functioning and legitimate legal system, any Taliban member can easily decide to take another person’s life, without facing any accountability under the law.
