RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front has announced the successful elimination of two Taliban fighters and the injury of two others in a strategic ambush in Kapisa province. In an official statement, the Freedom Front detailed that its forces targeted a Taliban urban patrol convoy in Kapisa, resulting in the confirmed deaths of two members and injuries to two additional fighters. The operation took place on Sunday evening, December 8, in the Hesa Awal Kohistan district of Kapisa. The convoy was reportedly led by Mullah Tariq, though no concrete information about his fate has been disclosed.
The Freedom Front refrained from sharing details about potential casualties among its own forces during the confrontation. Local Taliban authorities in Kapisa have yet to issue a response or provide clarification regarding the attack. This assault is part of a series of escalating operations by resistance forces. Last week, Freedom Front fighters targeted Taliban members in Kabul province, killing one insurgent. Both the Afghanistan Freedom Front and the National Resistance Front (NRF) have previously reported conducting numerous attacks against Taliban forces in Kapisa and beyond.
In its recent report, the NRF claimed responsibility for over 70 operations within a single month, allegedly killing close to 100 Taliban fighters. Similarly, the Freedom Front stated that it had eliminated 27 Taliban members during the same timeframe. Despite these claims, the Taliban leadership has largely chosen silence, frequently denying or downplaying the extent of such resistance activities. However, both resistance groups have persistently emphasized the intensification of their campaigns, underscoring a growing challenge to Taliban rule.
