RASC News Agency: The Economic Times has ranked Afghanistan as the most perilous destination in its list of the 10 most dangerous countries for tourists and visitors in 2025. Despite Taliban assertions of having established “comprehensive nationwide security,” the report unequivocally designates Afghanistan as “the most dangerous country in the world,” urging against any travel to the region in the coming year. In addition to Afghanistan, the list includes Yemen, Syria, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Russia, Ukraine, Somalia, Sudan, and Iraq.
These nations are flagged for ongoing conflicts, political instability, rampant crime, and persistent terrorism. The report elaborates: “Afghanistan grapples with intense challenges, including active conflicts, chronic political instability, unchecked terrorism, and severe humanitarian crises. Decades of warfare, compounded by the Taliban’s resurgence, have led to widespread violence and insecurity.” Further aggravating the crisis are pervasive poverty, a lack of basic public services, food shortages, and a crumbling healthcare infrastructure.
Moreover, the presence of extremist factions such as ISIS has significantly intensified violence, rendering daily life in Afghanistan “exceptionally hazardous.” The report underscores the critical importance of acknowledging these risks for informed travel decisions, personal safety assurances, and a deeper understanding of the monumental challenges confronting the Afghanistani people.
