RASC News Agency: Abdul Razaq Akhund, Deputy Minister for Martyrs and Disabled Affairs in the Taliban regime, visited Badghis province, where he distributed financial assistance to the families of suicide bombers. According to sources, Abdul Razaq Akhund, along with the Taliban’s Head of Information and Culture in Badghis, urged the families of these bombers to pray for the Taliban during his visit. The ministry’s statement did not disclose the exact amount of the financial assistance provided. This gesture comes in the wake of the Taliban’s two-decade history of using suicide bombers, during which thousands of civilians lost their lives, and many more were injured.
Throughout the last 20 years, the Taliban’s deployment of suicide bombers has caused widespread devastation. They have targeted numerous schools, universities, and educational centers, resulting in the deaths of countless civilians. According to reports, the Taliban’s use of suicide bombers has led to the deaths of hundreds of innocent civilians, alongside the destruction of numerous mosques and public spaces. During their 20-year insurgency, the Taliban frequently employed suicide bombers to eliminate prominent figures, both political and social, across Afghanistan. Their most notorious act was the assassination of Burhanuddin Rabbani, leader of the Islamic Society of Afghanistan, via a suicide bombing a killing that marked an increase in such attacks thereafter.
Through manipulative propaganda, the Taliban have recruited young people, luring many into their ranks and encouraging them to become suicide bombers. These campaigns have led to the deaths of numerous young individuals. Even after regaining power in Afghanistan, the Taliban have continued to carry out suicide attacks, targeting strategic locations. Reports suggest that the Taliban’s use of suicide bombers remains a key aspect of their operations, with these forces taking the lead in such attacks.
