RASC News Agency: Sources from within the Taliban in Kunduz indicate that a recent confrontation with Pakistani military forces in North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulted in the death of a Taliban fighter. On September 29, these sources confirmed that the deceased, identified as Qari Safiullah, was a resident of Logar. According to reports, this Taliban fighter was engaged in combat alongside the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) against Pakistani troops. His body has yet to be returned to his family.
Previously, a Taliban fighter in Kunduz had claimed that hundreds of members of their group were actively participating in TTP operations against Pakistani forces. Despite repeated denials from Taliban officials regarding collaboration with the TTP, their fighters have expressed solidarity by sharing images of deceased TTP members. This comes in the wake of allegations from Pakistani authorities accusing the Taliban of supporting militants opposed to the Pakistani government.
Recently, Sama TV, a Pakistani media outlet, reported the account of Rohullah, a student at the “Tarteel al-Quran” school in Nangarhar, which allegedly specializes in training for suicide bombings. According to this report, after completing military training at the Tarteel al-Quran school in the village of Turtaym, Rohullah had entered Pakistan to carry out an attack.
Additionally, last month, PTV reported that the Taliban had issued a “special residency” permit and weapons license to Noor Ali Mahsud, the leader of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), as well as to his associate, Mazahim Mahsud.
