RASC News Agency: The Freedom Front of Afghanistan has denounced the execution of passengers in Deykundi as an act of genocide and a crime against humanity, attributing this atrocity to the Taliban. On Thursday night, September 12, the Freedom Front issued a statement condemning the attack, describing it as a “war crime.”
The statement reads: “This brutal massacre occurred in a region where all local residents are disarmed, and the only armed elements in the provinces of Ghor, Deykundi, and the surrounding areas are the Taliban militias.” The front further asserts that these incidents in Deykundi and other central, northern, and western regions of Afghanistan demonstrate that the Taliban are driven by “ethnic motivations and seek to alter the demographic composition of ethnically and religiously diverse areas through the massacre of people, particularly the Hazara community, under various pretexts,” and through the forced displacement of populations.
This follows an attack by armed men on a vehicle transporting Deykundi residents, resulting in 14 fatalities and six injuries. In contrast, ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, stating in a declaration that it has killed fourteen “Rafidis” and “apostates.” ISIS uses the terms “Rafidis” and “apostates” to refer to Shia Muslims.
