RASC News Agency: On Thursday, the Front of Freedom of Afghanistan released its political narrative and combat outlook under the title “The Charter of Afghanistan’s Freedom”. The front emphasized its efforts to establish a decentralized political system that reflects Afghanistan’s ethnic, cultural, and social diversity. After nearly three years of resisting the Taliban, the anti-Taliban Front of Freedom published its six-page charter, outlining its stance on the fight against the Taliban, human rights and democratic values, as well as post-Taliban political, economic, and judicial matters. The charter asserts that the battle to overthrow the Taliban regime and reclaim Afghanistan is “inevitable.”
The front’s charter is based on the pillars of resisting discrimination, combating extremism and terrorism, fighting for freedom and equality, and believing in the liberation of Afghanistan from Taliban rule. The charter declares: “The Front of Freedom considers it inevitable to resist and fight for the removal of the Taliban from the pure land of our nation and is committed to overthrowing the Taliban’s Emirate in the country.” In its 32-point charter, the Front of Freedom pledges to support all non-terrorist movements opposing the Taliban, civil and justice-seeking initiatives, especially women’s freedom and justice movements, and efforts to combat discrimination, gender apartheid, and achieve equal rights in all spheres.
Additionally, the front is committed to preventing “non-transparent and unethical interactions” between countries and organizations with the Taliban, seeking to convince Taliban-allied countries to cut ties with the group. It is working to raise global awareness about the dangers of terrorism expansion in Afghanistan and stress the necessity of reclaiming the country from Taliban rule. Beyond its anti-Taliban campaign, the front also clarified its views on Afghanistan’s future political system and democratic values. The charter emphasizes that the Front of Freedom is committed to creating a decentralized political system that embraces Afghanistan’s ethnic, cultural, and social diversity. The front also advocates for the establishment of a democracy based on electoral representation and calls for a referendum to ratify a new constitution.
The Front of Freedom further expressed its commitment to lasting peace, launching a national reconciliation process, and establishing non-judicial transitional justice mechanisms. It also affirmed its dedication to the rights of free expression and education in citizens’ native languages and its goal to recognize all commonly spoken languages in Afghanistan. It is important to note that Afghanistan’s centralized political system has long been criticized for failing to accommodate the country’s ethnic, religious, political, and tribal diversity. Ethnic nationalists have consistently favored the establishment of a decentralized system in Afghanistan.
