Taliban Assault Family Members in Panjshir

RASC News Agency: Local sources from Panjshir province report that Taliban forces have assaulted a family and detained a young man. Sources informed the media on Saturday, July 13, that the incident occurred four days earlier in the village of Amraz, within the Hesa Awal district of Panjshir province.

According to sources, Taliban members beat the family members and then arrested the young man for protesting. The detained individual, identified as Isakhan, was taken to an undisclosed location. Local Taliban officials in Panjshir have not yet commented on the incident. It is worth noting that the Taliban have repeatedly conducted night raids on homes in various districts of Panjshir, subjecting local residents to harassment and abuse.

In a recent incident, a woman in Panjshir died of a heart attack after a nighttime raid by Taliban members on her home. The Taliban frequently arrest residents of northern provinces, including Panjshir, accusing them of supporting the National Resistance Front. In some cases, these arrests have led to killings.

Additionally, Taliban officials in Panjshir’s administrative offices often fail to properly process the administrative work of local residents, who are predominantly from non-Pashtun ethnic groups, causing further harassment.
