RASC News Agency: Dawood Naji, Chair of the Political Committee of the Afghanistan Freedom Front, declared at the final session of the Vienna conference that the world must recognize fundamentalism and terrorism as global phenomena that extend beyond Afghanistan. Naji emphasized at the conference that the only way to save Afghanistan is through unity at local, regional, and global levels.
He also stressed the need for a collective fight against the Taliban, adding that this group does not believe in dialogue. Dawood Naji pointed out that millions of people, especially women, are losing hope every day, trapped in the dark pit created by the Taliban. He noted that Afghanistan has now become a safe haven for terrorist groups and a training ground for thousands of terrorists. Naji further highlighted that although Afghanistan has always had religious schools, the Taliban’s jihadist schools are now teaching children the biographies of Taliban suicide bombers.
At the Vienna conference, Dawood Naji underscored the importance of a united front against the Taliban. The fourth Vienna conference was held today, Wednesday, June 26, in Austria. During this conference, Ahmad Massoud, leader of the Afghanistan Resistance Front, also emphasized the need for a united fight against the Taliban and expressed his determination to restore hope to the people.
This conference takes place ahead of the upcoming third Doha meeting, which will be chaired by the United Nations. The Taliban have been invited to the Doha meeting and have stated their intention to participate. It is noteworthy that representatives of Afghanistani women were present at the Vienna conference, whereas it has been announced that women will not be allowed to participate in the Doha meeting’s agenda.
