RASC News Agency: Lolwah Al-Khatir, the Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation, and Johan Forsell, the Swedish Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, have engaged in discussions regarding Afghanistan. According to a message released by the Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation on the X social media network, this meeting took place on Saturday, May 25th.

She stated, “Constructive discussions were held regarding Gaza, Afghanistan, and Ukraine, and how to continue cooperation in supporting humanitarian aid and development.” Lolwah Al-Khatir is noted as the second female member of the current Qatari cabinet and a supporter of girls’ education in Afghanistan under the Taliban’s rule.

Previously, in meetings with foreign diplomats, she repeatedly emphasized the right of Afghanistani girls to education under the Taliban’s rule.

Following the Taliban’s takeover of the country, the group has prohibited girls above the sixth grade from education, and despite internal and international calls for lifting this ban, they have continued to enforce it.
