RASC News Agency: Local sources in Takhar province report that the Taliban have detained four former military officers. According to these sources, who spoke to media outlets on Thursday, May 9, the arrests occurred in the Dasht-e Qala district three days ago. The detained individuals have been identified as Rohullah, Asadullah, Waliallah, and Kefayatullah.

The Taliban have yet to provide a clear explanation for the reasons behind these arrests. Sources also indicated that these individuals were taken into custody on suspicion of criticizing local Taliban officials in the Dasht-e Qala district.

It is worth noting that the Taliban have recently launched a widespread campaign of arresting former military personnel across the northern provinces, with some cases resulting in their deaths.

In the past two weeks, the Taliban arrested and incarcerated four former government military officers and one civilian resident from the city of Taluqan and the Farkhar district in Takhar province.
