RASC News Agency: The Afghanistan Freedom Front denounced a deadly armed attack on Shia worshipers in Herat as “part of a genocide and crimes against humanity” and strongly condemned the incident. According to a statement released on Tuesday, April 30, by this opposition group, the attack was carried out by “terrorists” supported by the Taliban.
The statement said: “This event follows a series of bloody attacks orchestrated by Taliban-backed terrorist groups aimed at inciting sectarian discord against Hazaras, Shia, and other ethnic groups in Afghanistan.” The Freedom Front stated: “These ‘terrorist groups’ currently receive direct logistical and equipment support from the Taliban, allowing them to kill civilians without fear of repercussions. After massacring innocent and defenseless people, they freely retreat to Taliban safe havens without facing any consequences.”
The Afghanistan Freedom Front reiterated that Afghanistan, under Taliban control, has become a haven for international terrorists. The group called on the international community and regional actors involved in the ongoing conflict in Afghanistan to end “policies of engagement and appeasement” toward the Taliban and to refrain from collaborating with the “terrorist groups’ crimes against humanity.”
On Monday evening, April 29, in the Guzara district of Herat province, in the Mohammadiah (Andishah) township, two armed motorcyclists opened fire on worshipers as they left the mosque.
