RASC News Agency: A source from the Taliban’s Ministry of Education in Kandahar province reports that the group has incorporated pro-Taliban propaganda into the new curriculum for religious schools. The source told the media on Monday, April 22, that the new curriculum for religious schools, established by the Taliban’s Ministry of Education, will soon be implemented across the country.

This announcement followed a visit to Kandahar by Mullah Habibullah Agha, the Taliban’s Minister of Education. The source added that during a meeting at the Taliban’s Ministry of Education in Kandahar, Mullah Habibullah Agha stated that the group plans to implement the new curriculum and their own programs for schools in the near future.

The Taliban’s Minister of Education has not released further details on the matter. However, the source noted that the Taliban plan to impose new restrictions on students, teachers, and educational staff. According to the source, the Taliban’s Ministry of Education has instructed the group’s education directorates in the provinces to require staff and students to grow beards and wear turbans.

The Taliban have also announced plans for their education directorates to facilitate higher-level education for group members and those who have collaborated with them over the past 20 years. Since taking control of the country, the Taliban have removed certain subjects from school curricula. The group’s Ministry of Education previously announced that work on a new curriculum for religious and secular schools is ongoing.

Recently, several international organizations have expressed concern about the methods used to educate students in Taliban-run religious schools in Afghanistan.
