Expulsion of Over 27,000 Afghanistani Migrants from Alborz Province

RASC News Agency: The Director-General of Aliens and Foreign Immigrants Affairs of Alborz Province announced that 27,500 unauthorized foreign nationals were expelled from the province last year and returned to their respective countries.

 

Serous Dehghan-Shiri stated in discussions with the media on Saturday, April 13th, that the process of identifying and collecting unauthorized foreign nationals in Alborz province will continue, with a more rigorous approach this year. He emphasized that the serious pursuit of their return through border crossings to their home countries has been ongoing since last year and will intensify further this year.

 

He highlighted the directives issued by the National Immigration Organization regarding the prohibition of employing unauthorized foreign nationals, emphasizing that employers who hire unauthorized foreign nationals will be fined eight million and 890 thousand rials daily, according to the law.

 

Dehghan-Shiri stated that under Article 181 of the Labor Law, the employment and hiring of foreign nationals without work permits in workshop units are prohibited, and employers who employ unauthorized foreign nationals without work permits are subject to imprisonment from 91 to 180 days according to the law.
