Unknown assailants killed a mosque imam in Maidan Wardak

RASC News Agency: Quoting local sources from Maidan Wardak province, unidentified gunmen recently fatally shot a mosque imam in the area. Sources informed the media on Sunday, Apr 7, that this incident took place last night in the village of “Chin Zayawi” in the Nerkh district of the province.

 

According to the sources, the victim, identified as Abdulwakil, was targeted by gunmen near his residence while en route to the mosque. Based on the information provided by sources, the unidentified gunmen managed to escape the scene. The Taliban group has yet to offer any explanation regarding this incident.

 

In recent days, there has been a significant surge in criminal activities across various provinces, sparking heightened concerns among the populace. In another incident last night, unidentified gunmen fatally shot three members of a family in the Chahar Qala area of the twelfth district of Kabul city.

 

Reports of insecurity in the country surface at a time when the Taliban group consistently asserts that national security prevails, ensuring the safety of lives and property of the citizens.
