Taliban Renames Kabul’s Fayz Mohammad Katib Road

RASC News Agency: A document acquired by the media indicates that the Taliban group has rechristened the “Fayz Mohammad Katib” road in western Kabul to “Chahar Qala-ye Chahardehi.” According to this document, the Taliban group has dispatched a delegation to the Ministry of Information and Culture to reconsider the name of Fayz Mohammad Katib road.

The delegation argued that given the road’s five-century history, its appropriate designation is “Chahar Qala-ye Chahardahi,” and it has not been formally recognized as “Fayz Mohammad Katib Road” in official government records. With the endorsement and signature of the Taliban Prime Minister, the road’s name has been reverted to “Chahar Qala-ye Chahardahi.”

Since their assumption of power, the Taliban group has been consistently altering the names of schools, plaques, and defense institutions, alongside other initiatives. In a recent development, the Taliban group renamed the Martyr Abdul Ali Mazari Airfield in Bamiyan as “Bamiyan Airfield,” Abdul Karim Khalili Airfield as “Daykundi Airfield,” and General Mohiuddin Ghori Airfield as “Sultan Ghiasuddin Ghori Airfield.”
