RASC News Agency: Local sources from Ghazni province report that some Tricycle drivers in the province have initiated a strike. Sources have informed the media that on Tuesday, March 26th, Tricycle drivers gathered in front of the Taliban’s land transportation regulatory headquarters in Ghazni, alleging extortion by the group.

According to the protesters, members of the Taliban unlawfully demand money from them at city checkpoints in Ghazni. Protesters further stated that failure to pay money to Taliban members results in them being prohibited from operating.

Tricycle drivers in Ghazni city have stated that due to economic hardships, they are unable to afford payments to the Taliban group. Previously, some citizens of the country have accused the Taliban group of engaging in unlawful extortion and coercion through various means.

In the latest incident, clashes erupted yesterday between several residents of Balablok district in Farah province due to the Taliban’s attempts to “seize their lands”.
