RASC News Agency: According to local sources from Faryab Province, amidst the ongoing trend of mysterious and targeted killings, a man was recently murdered in Maimana, the capital of this province, under mysterious circumstances. Sources informed the media that the body of the deceased, identified as Ahmad Khalid Matin, was discovered on Thursday, Mar 14, in the Qarogh Say village, located near the city of Maimana.

Reportedly, Ahmad Khalid went missing after leaving his residence yesterday evening, and today, his body was found bearing visible signs of torture. Sources also revealed that Ahmad Khalid was employed at a health center, having married four years ago and leaving behind a two-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son.

The perpetrators behind Ahmad Khalid’s killing and the motive remain undetermined, with Taliban authorities in Faryab Province yet to address this incident. It is noteworthy that the incidence of criminal activities, particularly mysterious and targeted killings, abductions, and armed robberies, has oddly surged in different regions of the country in recent days.

In the most recent incident, unidentified assailants decapitated a young man named Esmatullah, who had recently returned from Iran, in the fourth district of Kunduz city. Notably, perpetrators of such acts have yet to be identified and brought to justice, as per reports.
