RASC News Agency: Amrullah Saleh, the former Deputy to the President of Afghanistan and a key figure in the National Resistance Front, contends that the US intelligence reports regarding Afghanistan are “far from accurate, shameful, and discouraging to terrorists.” He addressed this matter in a statement on his social media platform X, asserting that this evaluation epitomizes the hypocrisy of the Biden administration and is disconnected from reality.
Saleh declared: “Anti-Taliban factions are labeled as weak because they have not collaborated with the perpetrators of the September 11 attacks and have not resorted to killing, massacres, beheadings, attacking UN convoys, or hostage-taking of foreign nationals like terrorist organizations.” The former Deputy to the President of Afghanistan underscored: “The US intelligence community deems us feeble because we uphold principles of civility.”
According to Amrullah Saleh’s remarks, the reasoning of the US intelligence community and the Biden administration implies that Osama bin Laden and Mullah Hibatullah are perceived as stronger leaders than Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi because they publicly execute civilians and instill fear. This revelation coincides with the US intelligence community’s annual report evaluating global security conditions, which suggests that the resistance in Afghanistan under Taliban governance lacks robust leadership and external backing.
The US intelligence community’s report highlights that the emergence of formidable resistance against the Taliban stems from the apprehension of reprisal by the group and their fatigue from the protracted conflict, revealing vulnerabilities.
