RASC News Agency: UNICEF, the United Nations Children’s Fund, has announced that during the past calendar year, 715,000 malnourished children in the country received treatment from this organization. UNICEF disclosed this information on Wednesday, Mar 6, through a message on the social media platform X.

The United Nations Children’s Fund stated that during the past calendar year, more than 90 million food packages have been distributed by this organization to address the needs of the needy in Afghanistan. This comes as earlier, the World Food Program had declared that 2.3 million pregnant women in Afghanistan suffer from malnutrition under the Taliban’s control.

Following the group’s control over the country, poverty and hunger have significantly increased due to the reduction in financial aid and the lack of employment opportunities for individuals. According to media reports, the Taliban regime faces various economic challenges, and previously, an official of this group stated that the Taliban do not have the ability to solve the people’s economic problems.
