RASC News Agency: Local sources from Ghazni Province reported that a traffic accident on the Kabul-Kandahar highway has resulted in the deaths of at least nine individuals and injuries to 12 others. Sources informed the media on Wednesday, Mar 6 , that the traffic accident occurred last night in the “Nani” area within the jurisdiction of the Andar district of Ghazni Province.

According to sources, the traffic accident occurred when a passenger minibus type 580 collided with a cargo truck. Accounts from the Ghazni Provincial Hospital indicate that the condition of five of the injured from this traffic incident is critical. The Taliban group has yet to comment on this matter. This comes as previous traffic incidents, particularly on the Kabul-Kandahar highway, have claimed the lives of some individuals and injured others.

According to experts, road damages, narrow roads, driver recklessness, non-compliance with traffic laws, and difficult passage on some routes are often cited as reasons for traffic incidents on the country’s highways.
