RASC News Agency: Local reports from Faryab Province indicate that an unidentified assailant has slain a Taliban operative in the village of “Farish” within the Garziwan district. Media outlets were briefed on Monday, Mar 4, regarding the demise of Char Yar, a known Taliban affiliate, who met his end three days prior while tending to his garden in the Garziwan district, falling victim to assailants whose identities remain undisclosed.
Char Yar, cited as the guardian of a local Taliban commander in the Garziwan district of Faryab Province, was reportedly subjected to suffocation followed by two fatal gunshots by these unknown perpetrators. Sources attest that Char Yar, acting as the protector of one of the relentless Taliban commanders in Faryab Province, had inflicted repeated harassment and torment upon the indigenous populace.
This development comes against the backdrop of the Taliban’s assertion that, subsequent to their assumption of control, national security prevails, ensuring the safety of lives and properties. However, contrary reports persist. It is noteworthy that over the past two and a half years, numerous leaders and affiliates of the Taliban have perished due to internal factional conflicts.
Reports indicate that since the Taliban’s ascension to power, more than 16 senior members and pivotal commanders of the organization have succumbed to assaults by ISIS, armed anti-Taliban factions such as the National Resistance Front and the Freedom Front, and 37% in other suspicious occurrences and internal discord.
