RASC News Agency: The findings of the human rights organization “Rawadari” indicate that during the past calendar year, 506 individuals lost their lives in incidents of human rights violations in Afghanistan under the Taliban’s rule, with 266 others sustaining injuries. According to the report released on Saturday, Mar 2, during the 2023 calendar year, targeted killings, mysterious murders, extrajudicial executions, suicide attacks, and mine explosions claimed the lives of 506 individuals and injured 266 others.
The report states that the fatalities include 390 men, 58 children, 38 women, and 20 others with unidentified identities. According to the organization’s report, former government officials and their family members, human rights defenders, ethnic leaders, Taliban opponents, and other citizens of the country are among the victims of human rights violations incidents.
The “Rawadari” report further reveals that from January 2023 to December 2023, 365 individuals were deliberately, mysteriously, and extrajudicially killed, while 63 others were injured in six suicide and explosive attacks in Kabul, Badakhshan, and Baghlan provinces. According to the Rawadari organization, most of the victims of these attacks are Hazara and Shia citizens. The findings of the Rawadari report indicate that from January 2023 to December 2023, 365 individuals were deliberately, mysteriously, and extrajudicially killed by the Taliban and unidentified individuals, with 63 others sustaining injuries.
The organization further added that there are numerous cases of the detention and imprisonment of families of victims or local journalists for providing information about targeted and mysterious killings. Based on the Rawadari report, the Taliban group denies involvement in mysterious killings, attributing them to armed individuals. However, so far, no action has been taken to identify and apprehend these unidentified individuals.
