RASC: Reliable local sources in Daikundi province say that the Amr Bil Maruf members of the Taliban group are arresting women on the roads of Nili city, the capital of this province, for not wearing the Iranian hijab.

Local sources on Thursday, May 18, say that the harassment of women and girls on the public roads and the city of Nili has started since three days because of the way they dress.

According to the sources, the officials of the Amr Bil Maruf members of the Taliban group harass and detain women and girls for not wearing the “Iranian black veil” by creating checkpoints.

Another source also says that the this department of the Taliban group in Daikundi province, except for the “Iranian black veil”, consider Arab and Turkish hijabs as illegitimate and do not accept them.

The local officials of the Taliban group in Daikundi province have not said anything about this so far.

Previously, the officials of the Taliban group in Daikundi province and other provinces of the country insulted, humiliated, beat and arrested women and girls for not wearing the hijab required by this group.
