RASC News Agency: Concurrently with the escalation in mysterious and targeted killings across diverse provinces of the nation, a 57-year-old woman named Zarghoona has been slain by unidentified armed assailants in the Faryab province. Sources in Faryab have informed the media that this woman was fatally shot last night Tuesday, Feb 20, in her residence in the village of Kariz, situated in the Chilgazi district of this province.

Meanwhile, although the Taliban group has refrained from official commentary on the matter, sources suggest that the group has apprehended a suspect in connection with the woman’s murder. This development unfolds against the backdrop of a surge in mysterious and targeted killings across various provinces of the country during the two-year tenure of Taliban governance in Afghanistan, reasons for which remain undisclosed.

It is worth noting that despite the Taliban group’s reiterated assertions regarding the safeguarding of civilian lives in Afghanistan, reports detailing mysterious killings underscore the group’s failure in this domain.
