RASC News Agency: Lutfullah Najafizadah, Mitra Mehran, Shahgol Rezaei, and Mahboubah Saraj represent Afghanistan civil society and women at the Doha meeting. The session, which commenced on Sunday, Feb 18, in Doha, will continue tomorrow Monday, Feb 19, with the participation of at least 28 countries worldwide.
However, despite the Taliban’s invitation to this meeting, the group’s foreign ministry rejected participation due to its conditions not being accepted by the United Nations. This comes as the United Nations had previously organized a session focused on Afghanistan in Doha, and this second meeting in Doha is initiated by the United Nations.
It is noteworthy that this meeting will consist of four separate sessions, including voting on the revival of women’s rights in Afghanistan and reaching a consensus among countries on appointing a new representative for Afghanistan.
