RASC News Agency: A traffic incident in Iran has resulted in the loss of lives for four Afghanistani migrants and two Baluchi individuals. Sources informed the media on Sunday, Feb 18, that the incident occurred yesterday in the vicinity of the city of Mashhad in the country. According to sources, the traffic accident occurred when two taxi motorcycles collided, resulting in the loss of six lives.

Four of the deceased individuals were residents of the Helmand province who had migrated to Iran through smuggling routes. This comes as, following the Taliban’s takeover of the country, a considerable number of Afghanistani citizens have migrated to neighboring countries, especially Iran, due to the prevailing conditions in Afghanistan society.

Earlier, Iranian border authorities in Sistan and Balochistan province announced that they had detained hundreds of Afghanistani migrants for entering through smuggling routes. It is noteworthy that in recent times, neighboring countries, especially Pakistan and Iran, which host a significant number of Afghanistani migrants, have taken unprecedented measures to expel these migrants.
