RASC News Agency: The head of intelligence of the Taliban’s Information and Culture Department recently informed the media that the collapse of a gold mine in Badakhshan province has resulted in the deaths of two workers and left one injured. Hekmatullah Mohammadi, the head of intelligence of the Taliban’s Information and Culture Department, stated that the incident occurred yesterday, Feb 7, in the village of Khairabad, Khawahan district of Badakhshan.

Meanwhile, according to information provided by the head of intelligence of the Taliban’s Information and Culture Department, the incident occurred while these three individuals were engaged in prospecting in a gold mine in the province. This comes as previously, several workers have lost their lives and many others have been severely injured while working in various mines across the country.

It is worth noting that poverty and unemployment in the country have led Afghanistani youths and men to engage in mining work, sometimes resulting in the deaths of miners.
