RASC News Agency: The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) of the Taliban group recently made an announcement regarding the forced expulsion of Afghanistani migrants from Iran. In a message posted on the X social media platform on Tuesday, December 26th, the ministry highlighted that a total of 1,638 Afghanistani immigrants were expelled from Iran and repatriated to their home country in a single day. It was emphasized that a majority of these individuals were forcefully deported from Iran and returned against their will.
The Taliban group’s ministry further revealed that they have provided financial assistance to some of the expelled immigrants who were found to be in need. This assistance comes amidst the process of forced deportation of Afghanistani immigrants from neighboring countries, and the region has witnessed a significant increase. The situation has become more challenging for Afghanistani citizens, as evidenced by the recent arrest of over 60 Afghanistani refugees by the Turkish police. The number of citizens migrating abroad has surged since the Taliban took control of the country.
Diverse factors have contributed to the migration of Afghanistani citizens abroad. Decades of conflict, a lack of employment opportunities, an unstable economy, and fear of the Taliban group are among the key reasons behind this trend. The situation in Afghanistan, under the control of the Taliban group, has deteriorated on multiple fronts, including the economic, political, and social spheres. The lack of international recognition, the imposition of sanctions on Taliban members, and the restrictions imposed by the group itself have further exacerbated the challenges faced by the Afghanistani population.
