RASC News Agency: Authorities in Herat have issued a statement regarding the inaugural arrival of Qatar’s premier humanitarian aid shipment to the province. They have asserted that this assistance will expeditiously be disseminated among the affected populace. The officials have gleaned intelligence indicating that these provisions reached Khawaja Abdullah Ansari International Airport on Thursday, November 30th. Furthermore, they have disclosed that the aid encompasses provisions such as food, non-food items, and spices, earmarked for those grappling with the aftermath of the earthquake.

The contributions encompass 2,000 parcels of sustenance, 1,000 parcels of medical kits, along with numerous assortments of winter apparel and blankets. In the course of delivering this cargo of aid, Qatari authorities have communicated their intent to dispatch two additional aircraft laden with food and non-food aid to Herat in the forthcoming days. It is imperative to highlight that the seismic event on October 7th inflicted substantial financial and human tolls on the denizens of Herat, rendering numerous households homeless. With winter looming, these families voice apprehensions about enduring another inclement season and have beseeched heightened support from international entities.

Apart from Qatar, various other nations have extended humanitarian aid to Herat. However, the inhabitants of Herat censure the Taliban faction for the improper utilization of this assistance. Reports suggest that a majority of the aid either originated from individuals associated with the Taliban or was distributed by the group at its discretion in specific regions.
