RASC News Agency: Sources from Takhar province have confirmed that the head of the Taliban’s health department in the province has recently ordered health centers in Takhar not to use images of women in their advertisements. Sources told the media on Thursday, November 23, that Abdulqahar Ahmadi, the head of the Taliban’s health department in Takhar, has warned all hospitals and health centers in the province not to use human, especially female, images in their advertisements. According to the sources, this order from the head of the Taliban’s health department in Takhar province was communicated to the health centers and hospitals in the province yesterday, November 22.
Based on a written statement which has reached the media by this Taliban official, he added that if there are currently any images of humans, especially women, in their hospital offices or health centers, they must be removed from the premises within 24 hours. It is worth noting that since the Taliban’s takeover of the country, they have imposed increasing restrictions on the activities of citizens, particularly on matters related to women, through numerous directives.
Moreover, it should be mentioned that under the Taliban’s rule in Afghanistan, women and girls are deprived of their fundamental rights, including education, employment, and freedom of movement. It is believed that the Taliban are determined to exclude this segment of society. It is important to note that these actions by the Taliban have led to widespread protests from Afghanistani women, but each time their protests have been suppressed by violence and brutality from the group.
