Despite finding herself exiled with her family subsequent to the Taliban’s ascension to power and the fall of the republican regime, Shaharzad Akbar has continuously sought to raise awareness about the deplorable situation prevalent in Afghanistan. Moreover, she has tirelessly highlighted the hardships endured by Afghanistani women in their arduous fight against the Taliban.
