RASC News Agency: Reports from local sources in Faryab have brought to light an alarming incident that unfolded on Wednesday, October 25. A total of nine teachers, all affiliated with a boys’ school situated in Shirin Tagab district, fell prey to an act of poisoning. The malevolent act occurred within the premises of the school, specifically at “Baloch” village in Shirin Tagab district. According to reliable sources, the unsuspecting victims were subjected to the poisonous spray unleashed by unidentified culprits. Immediate medical attention was sought by the locals, who aided in transferring the afflicted teachers to the nearest hospital. The condition of the poisoned individuals remains unchanged at present.

The Taliban security command in Faryab has not only acknowledged this incident but has also taken swift action by apprehending a suspect linked to this egregious offense. As of now, the individual is presently undergoing extensive interrogation. It is disheartening to recall that this incident follows the poisoning of 70 students and four teachers in two schools situated in the Sancharak district of Sarpol province just four months ago. These shocking occurrences place the blame on the negligence exhibited by the school guards and the lack of vigilance demonstrated by the teachers.

The poisoning of both teachers and students remains an exceptionally grave matter that necessitates immediate attention and resolution. The authorities are duty-bound to implement stringent measures that guarantee the safety of students and teachers within educational institutions. The incident that transpired in Shirin Tagab district serves as a stark reminder that the perpetrators responsible for such abhorrent crimes must be held accountable before the law. A thorough investigation is crucial, and decisive actions must be taken to prevent the recurrence of such deplorable incidents in the future. Ensuring the security and well-being of both students and teachers must indisputably become the highest priority for the responsible authorities.
